HOW WE WORK
At Rebecca Rowland Interiors, we believe great design begins with great communication. Our process is collaborative, intuitive, and tailored to your needs.
We’re not just here to make your space beautiful. We're here to make it you.
where we begin
Before the design work begins, we start with a few thoughtful steps to make sure your project is set up for success.
1.discovery call
Every project begins with a complimentary 30-minute discovery call. We’ll talk about your space, your needs, and your vision, and determine whether we’re the right fit. There’s no preparation needed. Just bring your questions and curiosity.
2.INITIAL DESIGN SESSION
If it feels like the right fit, we’ll book a working consultation. This session lasts up to two hours and can be held in-person or virtually. We’ll walk your space, discuss priorities, and begin shaping the design direction.
This session is $699 and is rich with ideas and strategy, whether or not you continue with full-service design.
Many clients find this session alone provides the clarity they’ve been missing.
Extended sessions and day rates are available for larger or more complex projects.
Travel fees may apply outside of our primary service areas.
3. proposal & scope
After your consultation, we provide a customized proposal based on your needs. This may include full-service interior design, support for a renovation, short-term rental design, or strategic guidance for selling your home.
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT
While every project is tailored to your space, timeline, and needs, the general flow follows and clear and structured path. Early decisions, such as how involved you would like us to be and the level of service required, will shape the specifics. We outline all of this clearly in your proposal, so you know exactly what to expect.
1. Conceptual Design
Digging deep and setting the direction.
We kick things off with a kick off meeting wherein I ask approximately one million questions (give or take) to understand your goals, quirks, lifestyle, and what lights you up design-wise. From there, I refine your input, translate it into clear, creative direction.
The deliverables at the end of this phase include:
Floor plans & layout concepts
Visual mood boards or design direction presentations
Preliminary investment estimate
Goal: Confirm the scope, flow, and overall direction before moving into detailed design.
2. DETAILED DESIGN
Sourcing, specifying, and finalizing the vision.
Every element of the design is full developed during this phase. We specify finishes, furnishings, and all of the details that bring the space together, ensuring everything works together cohesively and aligns to the overall direction.
You’ll receive:
Full finish and fixture selections
Furniture and lighting sourcing
Custom cabinetry design (if applicable)
Detailed drawings and elevations
Final quotes and ordering estimates
Goal: You walk away with a comprehensive, ready-to-execute design plan, or we move forward with full-service execution.
3. Purchasing & Execution
Bringing the design to life, seamlessly
This is where everything comes together. We manage orders, logistics, and coordination with vendors and trades, ensuring each element arrives and is installed as intended.
We oversee installation, handle on-site coordination, and complete the space with final styling and photography.
For clients who want full project support for renovation projects, we offer project management from start to finish.
Timing depends on project scope and trade/vendor schedules
Goal: A completed, installed, styled space you can live in and love, without the complexity of managing it yourself.
every project begins with a conversation
Let’s talk about your space and what’s possible. We’d love to hear about your home and how you want to live in it.
